It was the visions and farsighted actions of His beatitude Moran Mor Cyril Baselios the late Major Arch Bishop Catholicos of the Malankara Catholic church that has brought the Pazhassi Raja College to the list of institutions of higher learning of the Diocese.
The supreme patron of the College is His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Major Arch Bishop Catholicos of the Malankara Catholic church.
The college is managed by the Corporate Education Agency of the Catholic Diocese of Sulthan Bathery under the Patronage of Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thomas , the Bishop of Bathery.

Rev.Fr.Mathew Kandathil was the Manager of the college since 2001 to 2009.

This management runs a number of Educational Institutions including Mar.Baselios College of Education, Sulthan Bathery, Mar Ivanios B.Ed College, Kunthoor, South Kanara, Karnataka, St.George Teacher Training Institute,Pulpally, 5 Higher Secondary schools, 16 High Schools, 19 U.P.Schools, 33 L.P. Schools, 30 Nursery Schools, 3 ITC etc.
